Dr. Steve Hartzen
Dr. Steve Hartzen is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. He joined Fox Animal Hospital in 2003, and he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with special interest in dentistry, dermatology, and pediatrics. His wife is Marla, and they have 2 children. Dr. Hartzen is not only a fantastic cook, but he is also a talented craftsman. He spends his free time building small furniture pieces and improving his home.
Dr. Stacy Lempka
Dr. Stacy Lempka earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. After graduation, she moved to Chicago where she provided relief veterinary services to Chicagoland animal hospitals. We are excited to have Dr. Lempka join the Fox Animal Hospital family after working here on and off since 1998. Dr. Lempka lives in Chicago with her husband and her 3 boys. She has 2 little dogs named Little Guy and Daisy. She volunteers with the Night Ministry to provide care for their clients’ pets. She is also an avid photographer and a staunch Cornhusker’s fan.
Dr. Jeanette Lyons
Dr. Jeanette Lyons graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and joined the Fox Animal Hospital team in 2001. She appreciates living locally because it allows her to associate with her clients in many different scenarios. Dr. Lyons particularly enjoys working with families and facilitating a growing human-animal bond. She and her husband have 4 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a variety of "little critters."
Dr. Robert Fox
Dr. Robert Fox practiced small animal medicine in the North Shore area since his graduation from University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983, all the way to 2017. In 1996, he opened Fox Animal Hospital, and now he’s passed the reigns and is enjoying his retirement. Dr. Fox loves all kinds of animals, especially Great Danes and Scottish Fold cats. He lives with his wife, Joan, in Evanston, and he loves traveling and playing electric guitar.
